VEEcam

July 14, 2011

Available from Stuart International, the engineers at Synectics had a clear mission when they developed VEEcam. They wanted to design the most rugged, easy to use, body worn digital video system.

Launched in 2008 and initially designed for use by the British Army, VEEcam is a rugged video recording, streaming and image capturing device, currently used by multiple defence bodies across the world.

Built for extreme environments this device is capable of withstanding robust arrest situations and other violent confrontations where the polycarbonate enclosure with nickel impregnated carbon fiber affords the necessary protections needed in these situations.

The system has been designed to have a low power consumption, maximising battery life and operational use. SEGS software can be added to the unit which maintains evidential integrity of the recorded video by providing authentication, tamper detection and a full audit trail. There is also the option of integral GPS, giving the ability to map locations of any recorded incident.

VEEcam is already in service with numerous police forces across the United Kingdom.
