The Magnalight LEDTH-24X2E and LEDTH-4X2E are two of the newest additions to the Larson Electronics Magnalight line of portable and mobile LED lighting solutions. The LEDTH-4X2E trailer hitch mounted LED light is ideal for moderate sized work areas, producing a 1,440 lumen light beam capable of covering an area 90 feet long by 100 feet wide while the LEDTH-24X2E telescoping LED light is suited for illuminating larger areas and produces 8,640 lumens capable of illuminating an area 450 feet long by 400 feet wide. Both of these dual head LED light towers include a durable and adjustable trailer hitch mounting system that provides highly secure and stable placement of these towers, even in areas where high winds are frequently encountered.
Both the LEDTH-24X2E and LEDTH-4X2E trailer hitch mounted light towers from Magnalight offer high powered LED lighting solutions in a compact package combined with innovative mounting systems. The 24X2E produces 8,640 lumens of light while drawing 144 watts at 12 amps from a 12 volt electrical system. The 4X2E produces 1,440 lumens and uses only 24 watts at 2 amps. Both of these light towers utilize an innovative trailer hitch mounting system that use the vehicle to provide a stable mounting platform for light towers under windy or inclement weather conditions that would normally result in problems with tower sway or tipping normally encountered by traditional tripod mounted towers in these conditions. Both of these towers can be adjusted from 3 feet to 8 feet tall and connect to standard trailer hitch receivers via a standard push bolt and slide pin. The trailer hitch mounting system also provides the ability to adjust the position of the entire unit by loosening a thumb bolt at the base of the hitch, which enables the mount to swivel 180 degrees. Further adjustability is provided by the trunnion mounted LEDs which allow the LED light heads to tilt through 270 degrees of vertical movement at the top of the tower. The LED light heads on these units are IP68 rated, so they are water proof and designed for extreme durability under all manner of operating conditions. These units can be operated on any voltages of 9-42VDC without any need for additional hardware. Several power cord options are also offered, allowing operators to take full advantage of these unit’s portable and mobile characteristics.
