L-TRON Corp.

4810 License Reader (Retired)

The 4810LR has been retired and replaced by the 4910LR.

L-Tron Corporation has developed and implemented a scanning solution for Kentucky police offices that has helped reduce the number of ticket dismissals by as much as 10 percent. Officers use the 4810 License Reader to quickly and accurately collect data during traffic violation stops. Bar code data from driver’s licenses are input directly into the e-citation and e-crash software program called KYOPS (Kentucky State Open Portal Solution). Accurate input of data reduces ticket dismissal rates due to illegibility and data entry error. The 4810 License Reader is a rugged portable scanning and imaging solution suitable for large and small precincts and developed specifically with the needs of patrol cars in mind. Offered and created by L-Tron Corporation along with Honeywell Corporation, leading providers of law enforcement IT solutions, the system has been installed in over 20,000 patrol cars nationwide. The 4810 comes equipped with a microphone style mounting bracket.
