Electronics and Audio Intercepts - (TS-010)

This course provides electronics and audio training to help investigators effectively operate in a technological law enforcement environment.  NIA instructors employ lectures, “hands on” electronics labs and practical exercises to achieve the technical learning objectives. Students use basic electronics test equipment, such as multi-meters, power supplies, signal generators, cabling tools, test instruments, and circuit and system simulation. A training manual, resource materials and handouts are all a part of this training program. NIA administers an exam and awards a certificate for the successful completion of this course. TS-010, in conjunction with the Video Surveillance Operations TS-020 (Part Two), provides the necessary technical knowledge to test for the NATIA Certified Technical Investigators Certification. For those applying for NATIA Certification, a NATIA representative will administer the exam following the completion of both blocks of training. This 40 hr course meets daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
