From RF Extreme, a business unit within the Vitec Group's Videocom Division, the Nucomm brands ultra compact and compact VSTx and STx COFDM transmitters and VSRx and SRx (shown) dual diversity COFDM receivers for military, government and law enforcement applications are designed to meet or exceed the defense and security digital microwave equipment requirements.
The VSTx is an ultra small, low power, Standard Definition (SD) COFDM transmitter ideally suited for concealed body-worn video wires, UAS, robotic and other surveillance applications. The VSTx is only two cubic inches in size and is available with two connector options. The first model features standard connector for simple interfacing in the field. The second model features a small flex ribbon interface cable that is ideal for integration with camera in very small, hidden locations such as a water bottle or even in objects as small as a cigarette pack.
For applications where size is not a limiting factor, but user interface and features are driving elements in specification, is the STx COFDM transmitter. The STx is incrementally larger than the VSTx, but still only occupies less than six cubic inches, and can also be used for concealed, robotic, UAS and other applications. The STx can be operated in either 20mW or 200mW output power modes and features superb H.264 HD and SD encoding.
Both transmitters support video/audio and data transmission with selectable modulation bandwidths of 6, 7 and 8 MHz, require little setup and are designed to be user friendly.
The Nucomm VSRx and SRx products are ruggedized dual diversity COFDM receivers offering exceptional RF performance combined with ease of operation. The VSRx features H.264 SD decoding while the SRx features H.264 SD and HD decoding. These features are combined in a durable weather resistant package delivering unequaled value in a high-quality COFDM receiver.
The SRx HD features AES decryption capabilities, making it ideal for public security monitoring, covert surveillance, and other secure transmission applications. The SRx additionally features streaming of the MPEG-TS over IP. This facilitates integration into video recording and distribution systems.
Both receivers require very little set up and rapidly configure automatically depending on the signal being received. For advanced functions such as changing frequency plans, AES encryption keys, or unit naming, an easy-to-use administration software package is supplied. The user interface provides rapid user assessment of signal strength, demodulator lock, decryption status, and decoding indicators.
