Sperry West's Super Video Commander Kit uses high power, 5.8 GHz frequency transmission and highly sensitive receivers. The kit is made to record up to four cameras simultaneously. Transmitters are built into the covert cameras and the customer chooses four from up to 15 different models, such as, a clock radio, pencil sharpener, smoke detector, electrical box, etc.
The customer also chooses four wired cameras, as this kit will also operate as a plug and play with special highly flexible thin wire, with snap on connectors. When used in this mode, the cameras are powered from the VC kits case and can operate almost two days on internal power, or for much longer periods when powered by AC. This kit also comes with a wireless pinhole barrel shaped camera for use inside a dropped ceiling, for those instances where it might look suspicious to add something new in a surveillance area. A relay to extend the range of a wireless camera is also included in the Super Video Commander kit, as well as a high intensity long range infrared camera with 10 to 1 optics for longer range surveillance. The internal motion sensing DVR is played back on the 12-inch LCD monitor built into the inside of the lid of the case or can adapt to internet use.
