Safariland received approval for a multi-threat armor model under the National Institute of Justice's (NIJ) Voluntary Body Armor Compliance Testing Program under NIJ Standard-0101.06 (NIJ-06). Safariland's Multi-Flex Series of concealable armor features combined ballistic and spike protection. The ballistic protection is tested under the new NIJ Standard-0101.06, while the spike protection is tested under the NIJ Standard-0115.00. The MT-330 Type IIIA/Spike 3 (#MS-3A30S-MT01) model is the first multi-threat armor model determined by the NIJ to comply with the new NIJ-06 standard, and is the first of Safariland's Multi-Flex Series.
