A Wi-Fi option, 1 MB SRAM /4MB Flash memory, and other advanced features make the Extech Apex 2 the perfect receipt printer for a variety of mobile computing applications including Route Accounting and Ticketing. Form Fiesta has been designed for developing forms based applications allowing easy adoption of both page and line printing modes to increase print speed. Cassini is a configuration utility that assists developers in correctly setting all print and communication parameters. Print utilities are available for most mobile operating systems. Apex 2 features are supported by a powerful ARM-7, 32-bit microcontroller. The Flash-based, integrated CPU contains firmware, resident barcodes and resident fonts. The Apex 2 has additional flash and SRAM memory specifically under user control for downloadable fonts, forms, and other features specific to the application under development.
The Apex 2 utilizes a high-capacity Li-Ion, 7.4V, 2200 mAh battery that can be charged internally or with an external two-bay battery charger. With advanced power management and a high capacity battery, mobile workers can print up to 1,300 feet of receipts on one battery charge with the Apex 2.
