Speedsentry Shield improvement

The SPEEDsentry Shield from All Traffic Solutions raises impact through a doubled display area, yet is less cumbersome thanks to a considerably slimmer, trimmer design. The new lightweight, durable sign addresses key elements of concern to users, including law enforcement agencies and departments of public works. The SPEEDsentry Shield, with 15-inch digits, measures 24 inches by 17 inches by 3.12 inches and weighs 22 pounds (including its battery). The sleek design allows units to be easily transported in the passenger seat of a patrol car, plus the lightweight structure makes maneuvering and installing the sign easy. Visibility remains high thanks to auto-dimming 30-degree LEDs that combine with glare-resistant, UV-protected Lexan for increased contrast and digit visibility. The Shield's lithium ion batteries and solar assist option are environmentally friendly features. The batteries provide a longer life in a smaller package. Departments can expect to achieve up to two weeks of runtime between charges depending upon road conditions and sign settings. The solar assist component provides 20 watts of power and is ideal for more permanent installations. Additionally, settings for the Shield can be established through onboard buttons or via optional PDA with Bluetooth technology.
