The Karbon MPID's (multi-purpose immobilization device) projectile and contact firing mode stun/immobilization device utilizes an innovative framework design that allows the gun to be manufactured with uni-body construction. Unlike traditional stun gun fabrication methods, uni-body construction eliminates the need for a two halves to be glued together which results in significant strength improvements of the unit. Other features include simple to use cartridge eject arms for quick cartridge ejection, use of cost efficient off-the-shelf-batteries, and a recessed cartridge to prevent accidental dislodgement.

Karbon MPID cartridges are now propelled by air (or compressed nitrogen) and are no longer primer fired.
