TASER Shockwave

Nov. 18, 2008

The TASER Shockwave system is the first generation of new TASER Remote Area Denial (TRAD) technology that integrates the TASER International's field-proven Neuro Muscular Incapacitation (NMI) technology into the first anti-personnel area-target system. The system is capable of not only denying personnel, but also incapacitating personnel with reversible effects. With the push of a button at a stand-off distance of up to 100 meters, the Shockwave unit deploys multiple TASER cartridges that are oriented across an area arc to instantaneously incapacitate multiple personnel within that region. The Shockwave system is fully modular, allowing the end user complete flexibility to deploy as needed to achieve the desired objective. Multiple Shockwave units can be stacked together either horizontally or vertically in order to extend area coverage or vertically to allow for multiple salvo engagements. Configurations can be tailored to yield a scaleable defense in depth with overlapping fields of fire when target opportunities may be layers deep or risk profiles dictate multiple event possibilities. The Shockwave units may also be vehicle mounted or daisy-chained. With up to 12 separate units per control box, the Shockwave system allows for an optimized response to any situation, independent of specific terrain, emplacements, obstacles, or threat profiles.
