Raytheon JPS Communications and Clarity Communication Systems to integrate
cellular push-to-talk and land mobile radio interoperability devices
Raytheon Co.'s JPS Communications has collaborated with Aurora, Illinois-based Clarity Communication
Systems to integrate cellular push-to-talk (PTT) and land mobile radio interoperability products. Using this technology, digital PTT cellular users will be able to instantaneously communicate with land mobile radio users without compromising voice quality and network efficiency. The cellular user can have direct control of the PTT line on the radio for an immediate connection JPS Communications' radio interoperability products allow disparate communications devices to communicate. Using PTT, connections can be made immediately with no dialing, ringing or waiting for a phone to be answered.
