Currently used by over 500 agencies, the DIMS Autonomous Aerial Acquisition Robot is an unmanned aerial vehicle with autonomous flight and navigation capabilities from Linear Systems. The system has GPS, optical, compass, gyroscopic, and barometric sensors for guidance and stabilization. The system can be flown visually, through VR Goggles or ground station video. The robot has the capability to fly unattended, stabilized in a stationary location, rotation, perched (landed) as a fixed location for data acquisition, or flown like a standard UAV for mobile data acquisition. All data is automatically downloaded and archived in DIMS with complete chain of custody and authentication. The system is fully compatible the Linear Systems DIMS chain of custody and management system.
