XEBRA Sedan ' Truck

Aug. 20, 2007
ZAP is rolling out a vehicle solution for security and law enforcement fleets, an innovative brand of electric vehicle called the XEBRA (pronounced "zebra"). The XEBRA was not designed to be a high-speed pursuit squad car, but performs excellently in a variety of parking enforcement, fleet operations and security patrol applications. ZAP calls the XEBRA a city-car, available as a sedan or truck, capable of driving speeds up to 40 mph on electricity alone. The XEBRA produces zero-emissions, uses no gas or oil, and operates in near-silence. Electric drive systems are simple and easy to maintain and can lower operating costs by as much as two-thirds over similar gas-powered vehicles. The XEBRA simply plugs into a typical 110-volt electrical outlet.
