Venoscope II

Aug. 20, 2007
The Venoscope Transilluminators make it easy to locate hard-to-find veins on neonates to dark-skinned adults. These portable, cool lights help emergency responders handle those difficult situations with fewer sticks. Fewer sticks means less time a clinician needs to spend with each patient, reduces the waste of materials such as needles, syringes, PICC and midline trays, making the procedure safer and more comfortable for the patient. The Venoscope II transilluminator works by directing a high-intensity light into the subcutaneous tissue and creating a uniform area of orangish reflection of the fatty tissue. The light is flush with the skin and by moving it around the extremity, a user will be ble to see a dark line when coming across a vein.
