Streamlight Inc. introduces two ultraviolet flashlights -- the Twin-Task 3C UV and Stylus UV -- that will assist law enforcement officers in detecting counterfeit documents. Featuring ultraviolet LEDs in the 375-nanometer range, tested on fluorescent materials for maximum effectiveness, Streamlight's flashlights are more effective at illuminating embedded ultraviolet inks than most other lights. Hidden security images using ultraviolet inks are imprinted on credit cards, vehicle titles, federal checks, U.S. and some foreign currency, and will soon be on driver's licenses and other government-issued ID cards. With the Twin-Task 3C UV and Stylus UV, officers have a quick and convenient way to identify where the hidden security image is on licenses and identification cards.
