Scott Health ' Safety releases the Scott Hazmat Radiocom II, an effective interface between a portable radio and the Scott AV-2000 series facepiece for those wearing a Level A hazmat suit and Scott SCBA. It is designed to interface with the Jedi Series walkie-talkie/two-way radio family. The system consists of a mask-mounted radio interface assembly and push-to-talk (PTT) switch assembly. The interface assembly features a boom with ear speaker and red LED for PTT notification. Originally developed for the New York City Fire Department Hazardous Material Team, the system will become available to the entire user community in early 2007.
