Remington introduces the Model 40-XS Bolt Action Rifle System that combines the performance of Remington's accurate target rifles and the strength of advanced manufacturing materials. Basedon the Model 40-X action, the tactical rifle's barrelled action is constructed of 416 stainless steel and is coated with a non-reflective polymer coating and then custom-bedded in a McMillan A3 Series stock for stability and protection. Additional features include an externally adjustable, Model 40-X trigger and a Sunny HIll, all-steel trigger guard. Chhambered in .308 Win. with a 1:12-inch twist, each Model 40-XS must deliver a 3/4 MOA or better before leaving the custom shop. This system comes packed in a black Pelican hard case and includes a Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-10x40mm Long Range M1 Scope with a Mil-Dot reticle, Badger Ordnance all-steel Picatinny scope rail and rings; Harris Bi-Pod with quick-adjust swivel lock; and Turner AWS tactical sling with swivels.
