PAGIS, BOSS update

Aug. 20, 2007
PAGIS, the in-car officer interface, supports automatic wireless synchronization with BOSS (back office system software). This wireless synchronization allows for officers to automatically receive updated hot lists and send all collected data to and from BOSS when the patrol vehicle enters a wireless hotspot. Another update to PAGIS is the ability to support simultaneous plate capture from up to four of PIPS' dual-channel (color and infrared) ALPR cameras. BOSS features the ability to network with other agencies' systems to allow for the sharing of data and querying across multiple jurisdictions for powerful intelligence. BOSS includes numerous predefined data formats within its database set-up wizard such as NCIC, as well as many state information networks. Also with the release of BOSS comes a more powerful search capability, including wild card characters for partial plates and establishing search radii around a physical address.
