FormStream support global JXDM

Aug. 20, 2007
New version of FormStream by Patron Systems, Inc. of Boulder, Colo., will support the U.S. Department of Justice Global Justice Extensible Markup Language Data Model (Global JXDM). The DOJ standard allows public safety communities to share justice information at all levels, laying the foundation for local, state, and national justice interoperability. FormStream is an automated field reporting application software that converts paper forms to computer-based forms. Police in their cruisers can use their PCs to access, query, submit, reject and approve electronic reports and disperse information according to configurable business rules. Filling out report fields is a matter of clicks and pull-down menus, with many of the fields already pre-filled based on user profiles and information pulled from external databases, limiting human error and effort and leaving more time for police to be in the street and less time in the precinct.
