Aug. 20, 2007
OptiScan Incorporated introduces the EOD Field Inspector System, an advanced device used by bomb technicians allowing them look into small spaces and display video images images directly at the point of inspection and to broadcast these images to a remote site for further analysis. The system consists of a free standing articulating 60-inch, 6mm borescope which is immersible in gasoline and other flammable liquids with accessories such as a right angle adapter, semi rigid guide tube, spare battery pack, C-cell battery handle, automotive power adapter, spare bulbs, an imaging system with both 6.4-inch monitor and a heads-up display, PC interface card, integrated power station with internet connection, wireless transmitter and receiver and programming that allows the operator to measure, annotate and save images. This stepped and layered configuration gives the technician the ability to tailor the imaging system to the conditions at the site and to reconfigure the Felid Inspector to meet changing demands for inspection capabilities making it the most versatile systems ever developed specifically for bomb inspection needs.
