High Idle Controller

Aug. 20, 2007
Install a High Idle Controller on the SUVs and trucks in the fleet and run lights, radios and computers without ever suffering an electrical system failure. This unit from Off Road Engineering is designed to work on 2005 Ford and late model Chevy and GMC engines with electric throttle control (a.k.a. drive-by-wire). This solid state device provides a preset high idle rpm for increased alternator output. Add an optional voltage monitor and the unit will automatically activate when battery voltage drops to an insufficient level. Also available is an illuminated power switch which can be mounted in the dash for easy accessibility. Installation is made simple by a "plug and play" design.
