XGate

Mentor Engineering's XGate Middleware is a communications tool that interconnects an EMS organization's dispatch software, wireless data network, and in-vehicle mobile computers. XGate compresses and sends messages between dispatch and drivers quickly, reliably and securely. Regardless of the wireless network, device or host software, XGate will interface with each to become an integral part of the communication process. With the XGate diagnostic web pages, users can monitor the communication system's performance through a variety of reports and graphs, including message volume and transaction success rates. And with XGate, no message is ever lost. XGate's store-and-forward feature queues messages to ensure delivery, even if a driver is temporarily out of network range. If a message does not reach its intended recipient, the sender is notified of the failure.
