The Lynx system from Micro Technology Services Inc. is a network-based duress and mass emergency notification system. It is designed so that managers can place unlimited desktop duress icons on officer's computers that when activated send out instant notification to other computer screens with a verbalized message (dispatch) as well as to PDAs, cell phones and text pagers. The desktop icons can be set up for unlimited applications notifying within specific groups or mass broadcasting messages for county, city or facility-wide emergencies to thousands of individuals. A JPG image, PDF manual or IP-addressable video can be linked to the alarm message appearing on the computer screen with the message.
