Maxsell Corp. now offers red/blue simulator training firearms for Voltran and Walther Arms. The old plastic resin replica had no relation to a real firearm and was functionless without operating controls. Using the simulator gun, available in red or blue to distinguish it from live firearms, the trainee has in his hand a sidearm identical to his own in composition, weight and operational features. Officers can now practice target acquisition, trigger pull, hear a loud report from gunpowder-charged blank rounds and feel the recoil. They can be field stripped to teach firearms maintenance.
