The CG-Lock clamps to the tongue of the driver's existing three-point, factory-installed seat belt, giving it the effectiveness of a four-point harness. By providing officers with 80 percent of the holding power of a full racing harness, the CG-Lock prevents them from sliding in their seats. This Lap Belt Cinch device lets officers keep their feet and hands light on the pedals and wheel resulting in better control, faster reactions and less fatigue. With the CG-Lock just gently engaged (slack removed from the lap belt, but not tight), the hips are gently held back against the seat, resulting in better lumbar support. Officers can sit all day in much greater comfort with less leg and back strain. If the officer needs to transition to high-speed or off-road driving, he simply pulls the shoulder harness to tighten the lap belt, and the CG-Lock puts the officer into "harness mode" for better, safer driving.
