New features, improvements and enhancements to the Kenwood TK-5210 P25 portable announced in June 2006 include Unit ID displayed on group calls, plus, in conventional zones, single zone/multi-zone scan capability. The delete/add operation has been improved and an emergency indicator has been added in P25 mode. The KMC-26 Speaker Mic has been updated with internal circuitry changes so this advanced mic can be used with the TK-5210 P25 VHF portables, and, later this year, the KMC-26 mic will be certified intrinsically safe. The P25 compatible TK-5210 is available in three models and meets both IP67 submersible specs and Mil-Spec 810 C/D/E/F standards.
