Insight Technology introduces the Mil-Spec SSL-1 pistol or rifle-mounted tactical illuminator. Offering the rugged performance of a Luxeon LED housed in a Type III hard-coated anondized aerospace-grade aluminum body, the SSL-1 generates 80+ lumens of brilliant white light with more than one hour of continuous run time. The SSL-1 provides facial recognition up to 25 meters with a tight 6-foot hot spot. The system's LED has more than a 10,000-hour lifespan. The system attaches to pistols with the use of a patented, adjustable Slide-Lock interface. And an ambidextrous rocker switch allows the system to be used by right- or left-handed users. The SSL-1 runs on two 3-volt lithium 123 batteries and weighs just 4 ounches with batteries. This system, which is waterproof to 66 feet, comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
