Baby Pod II

The Baby Pod II from Ferno is designed to safely transport pediatric patients. It is constructed of lightweight carbon fiber outer shell and lined with shock absorbent foam to absorb vibration during transport. A patient positioning vacuum mattress conforms to the baby's shape to limit unwanted movement. A transparent viewing lid protects infant from loose moving objects. The Baby Pod II contains stretcher-fixing straps to quickly secure the device for transport and safety straps to secure the infant inside the device during transport. The pod may be hand carried over rough terrain or when a stretcher is unavailable. It weighs only 20 pounds, and infusion pumps and/or IVs attach directly to the unit.
