Impulse Ear Muffs

The Elvex Impulse foldable ear muff is equipped with noise suppression and communications circuitry. Users get impulse noise suppression, while the electronic circuitry enhances weak sounds, such as an instructor's voice. It provides 25 dB NRR (Noise Reduction Rating), and sounds exceeding 82 dB are suppressed by a gain limiter. An impulse (or impact) filter electronically eliminates impulse sounds by closing down the circuitry in four milliseconds, and opening the circuitry again in about 1/4 second (in order to prevent echo effect). This feature makes Elvex Impulse very effective on the shooting range. The gun shots are eliminated, but the shooting instructor can still be heard.
