DAP Technologies expands its product portfolio with the Microflex CE5000X, a handheld computer designed for data collection in harsh environments. Utilizing the PAX255 processor by Intel running at 400 MHz, the Microflex CE5000X collects and transmits data from field operations quickly and efficiently. It is available with a sunlight readable QVGA transflective TFT color display with LED backlighting; this display technology provides brighter and clearer images while reducing power consumption. The computer is also available with a grey scale display for those customers that do not require color. Other features include 64 Mb Flash and 64 Mb RAM with additional storage via PCMCIA Flash cards, optional integrated laser bar code reader, and rechargeable battery pack (battery life 2 to 4 working days).
