The WEATHERPAK 400 MTR utilizes an ultra-sonic wind speed sensor, which has no moving parts and is accurate at very low wind speeds. This portable weather station, designed for hazmat responders, is from Coastal Environmental Systems. The sensor weighs less tahn one pound and has a 360-degree mechanical range, with no "dead" zone. The tower is high-visibility yellow. An optional spread-spectrum, frequency-hopping radio is available. The MTR contains a multi-use electronic interface for future enhancements. All data fields are displayed fully and simultaneously on a 4-inch TFT full-color flat panel display.
