The checkering pattern is engineered to produce excellent purchase whether hands are dry or moist, and it also reduces perceived heat or cold. AlumaGrip products can be autoclaved and/or decontaminated, and finishes are hard anodized for wear resistance. AlumaGrips also offers its Ultra Light and/or Slimline styles. The Ultra Light is within a grain or two in weight compared to rosewood, and the Slimline is one of the thinnest on the market today.
