MIT Pat-down Metal Detector

Aug. 20, 2007
The ADAMS model MIT pat-down metal detector is the latest search enhancement device from Adams Electronics Inc. The model MIT is securely fastened to the operator's hand so it cannot fall or be pulled off. It is extremely comfortable to wear, even for long periods of time. When a metal object has been detected, the MIT vibrates silently against the operator's wrist. No vibration is felt by the subject being searched, giving the operator a discrete and tactical advantage during a pat-down search procedure. The MIT is an ideal search enhancement tool for the detection of common weapons and contraband encountered by today's law enforcement officers. The MIT also can detect the more challenging metals, including high-grade surgical steel and other more complex alloys, that many modern metal detectors today still have difficulty detecting.
