Load carriage system
S.O.Tech's Mission Pack System, employed by special forces, was tailored for vehicle-mounted deployment and long-range foot patrol operations. Bail out modular Mission Go Bags can be pulled for short-range use, and mission-tailored panels (medical, sniper, canine, camera or EOD) can be removed for layout or hanging on vehicle walls. A heavyweight, waterproof bag protects contents from water.
Glass-breaker-tipped knife
The Boker Plus Urban Survival knife from Boker USA Inc. measures 5 3/4 inches in length and has a blade length of 1 5/6 inches. The 1.5-ounce Urban Survival offers superior carrying comfort with its compact dimensions and a variety of functions. It also has a lightweight textured aluminum handle, 440C stainless-steel blade, belt/pocket clip, liner locking mechanism, glass-breaker tip and a pen tip accessory.
Instant armor coverage
Protective Products International's Multi-Functional Armor Blanket (MFAB) addresses officer safety concerns within the vehicle, and offers a quick removable tactical cover in an emergency. MFAB's mounting mechanism is movable and panels can be vertically hung on a car door or the interior wall of any first responder vehicle. Individual MFAB panels can be linked together to increase the protective coverage.
Semi-auto rifle
A direct descendent of the HK416, the MR556 is a semi-automatic rifle developed by Heckler & Koch as a premium level commercial/civilian firearm. Like the HK416, the MR556 is a major product improvement of conventional AR-type carbines and rifles. Using the Heckler & Koch gas piston system, the MR556 does not introduce propellant gases and carbon fouling back into the rifle's interior. The HK rail system can be installed and removed without tools, and returns to zero when reinstalled.
Quick-access
The Patrol Rifle Integrated Magazine Pouch from Center Mass Inc. allows patrol officers to carry an AR15-type rifle magazine securely on his or her person without overburdening the gun belt by attaching to the officer's issued pistol magazine pouch or other duty gear in a stacking manner. The pouch fits most 2.25-inch-wide belts. An open top design allows quick access while adjustable, hard rubber retains magazines in a vertical or horizontal mounted position on the belt.
Corrosion-resistance
All-black, Kershaw Black R.A.M.s (Restraint Articulated Mechanisms) knives open easily with the Flipper manual system. The two R.A.M.s feature the Hawk-Lock for added security and simple operation. Once the blade is open, Hawk-Lock automatically locks into position. Both 3.8-ounce Black R.A.M.s feature Sandvik 14C28N stainless-steel blades with Tungsten DLC (diamond like carbon) coating, providing hardenability and corrosion resistance.
Hi-def thermal sight
The Trijicon Advanced Thermal Weapons Sight (ATWS) for small arms is high-definition (640 by 480 pixel) and has an uncooled thermal sight. It is also conveniently small and lightweight. The ATWS is used in conjunction with the Trijicon ACOG, allowing rapid and sure target acquisition and engagement, regardless of poor lighting or obstructions like dust, smoke or fog. The ATWS can be used as a stand-alone, handheld or as a thermal sight.
