Enhanced Systems Ensure Reliable Communications in Diverse Environments

ALAMEDA, USA – MARCH 09, 2015 – Clear-Com®, a global leader in critical voice communications systems, will showcase its cutting-edge enhancements in digital intercom technology by highlighting its new FreeSpeak II™ wireless intercom system, the portable and flexible HME DX300ES wireless intercom communication system and its proven HelixNet partyline intercom system at this year’s International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) in Las Vegas. Clear-Com can be found in booth C2134.

Intercom and connectivity solutions are critical in meeting the needs for tight collaboration, coordination and communication within military, government and public safety operations. Whether on wireless or wired systems, over 4-wire circuits or IP networks, Clear-Com’s extensive range of communications systems has the capability, scalability and reliability to meet complex configurations and is future-proofed to address unforeseen requirements.

FreeSpeak II is an enhanced DECT-based wireless intercom system that operates in multiple license-free DECT bands (1.897-1.933GHz). The newly-designed, rugged and robust digital wireless beltpack and active antenna ensure reliable user connections, clear digital audio and secure deployment across large-scale, multi-zone areas. FreeSpeak II is also IP-65 rated for waterproof and dust resistance, ideal for use outdoors, indoors and in harsh environments.

FreeSpeak II can be used either as a standalone base station wireless system with up to 20 connected full-duplex wireless beltpacks, or integrated within Clear-Com’s Eclipse matrices (known as FreeSpeak II Integra), which can support up to 50 wireless beltpacks at a time.

The HME DX300ES system supports hands-free, two-way digital conversations with two-channel interfacing for intercom communications. Its compact design makes it highly portable and easy to set up and operate.

Ideal for today’s frequency congested markets such as public safety agencies  (fire and rescue and emergency medical services), the DX300ES is a digital spread spectrum system that requires no frequency coordination or license for operation. Spectrum-friendly technology allows users to select the 2.4 GHz operating frequency range – low band, high band or full band – to avoid frequency conflicts. Each base can support up to three full-duplex or 15 push-to-transmit shared users with four bases linked to support a maximum of 60 users and hands-free two-way digital conversations with 2-channel interfacing for intercom communications.

The all-digital HelixNet Partyline is an ideal communication system for group operations in command and control as well as training and simulation environments. Each HelixNet system offers four separate talk channels that give supervisory positions instant and direct access to an individual or a group of operators. Each beltpack user can have talk/listen access to any two of the four talk channels. Multiple HelixNet systems can also be linked together to create a larger communication group.

With IP technology as its core, HelixNet’s plug-and-play design makes HelixNet easy to deploy, operate and maintain. Power for operating the main station, including all connected beltpacks can be supplied over a single shielded twisted-pair cable (for example, microphone, CAT5 or CAT6 cables). Up to 60 user devices can be networked by Powered over Ethernet or fiber.

“Our cost-effective and robust solutions, whether wired or wireless, are built for demanding mission-critical communications,” said John Kruman, Sales Engineer for the Military, Aerospace and Government division at Clear-Com. “When the stakes are high, our unmatched intercom systems have been put to the test and are ideal for effective information exchange between personnel when the need is greatest.”

The annual International Wireless Communications Expo will be held on March 16-20, 2015 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
