ACADEMI Hosts National Family Day With Honored American Veterans Afield

The event, which honors disabled veterans, wounded active-duty personnel, and their families, will be hosted on ACADEMI’s 7,000-acre world-class shooting and tactical training facility in Moyock, N.C.

1st Annual National Family Day- East

Date: Saturday, June 16, 2012
Time: Activities begin at 10:00 a.m.; Ending 7:00 p.m. (Approx.)

What: A day of sport shooting, competition, food, prizes and fun.

Where: - ACADEMI - The 7,000+ acre world class shooting and tactical training facility

Who is invited: - Wounded/Injured U.S. Veterans and Wounded/Injured Active Duty Military and immediate families

- Limited to the first 75 Disabled Vets and Wounded Active Duty Personnel (plus family members)

- Pre-Clearance is required to enter the ACADEMI facility

Activities: - Shooting events with products from leading firearms manufacturers (Air-soft for kids provided)

- Pro Shooter demo featuring: World Class Champions Todd Jarrett and B.J. Norris and others

- Lunch Provided

- Evening Dinner Provided and Raffle Prizes
(Vets and Active Duty Participants will win guns from Smith & Wesson,
Mossberg, Colt, DPMS and others…and many other valuable prizes)

- An equipment bag will be provided with prizes and supplies for all participants

What is HAVA?
-H.A.V.A. (Honored American Veterans Afield) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was formed by companies in the shooting and outdoor industry with the purpose of raising awareness and further assisting disabled active duty military and veterans with their healing process through hunts, shooting sports and other active outdoor sports activities.
