Mexican President!!
As a DEA Special Agent, Mexican President Felipe Calderon is just saying, I don't want the US to assist in raids in Mexico, because he is as corrupt as every other politician in Mexico. He doesn't want us to help because he doesn't want to fix the problem. It is business as usual!! I get my pay off and I keep US law enforcement off the backs of the Mexican Cartel! If you play with PIGS, you get mud on you!!

i am concerned over all the statements made about all the guns going south, however I have yet to see one shred of evidence on any weapons bought in USA being transported south, i am also deeply concerned that the president wants us to share our intelligence and technology but no reciprocation, no offers of sharing from south of the border.

mexicans
This news should not surprise anyone , as a retired LEO of 30 years I can see right through Calderon's taco ass, he is doing just as Dennis F said, business as usual.
He is putting on a big show but he is not our friend, he is padding his pockets like all the rest of mexican government officials. With the amount of police and military he has in the border towns don't you think this problem should be history by now, it would have been in Texas. You cannot trust those snakes on the other side of the river, all Calderon wants is intelligence and and knowledge as to where the U.S. is operating and what they are doing. Calderon knows that his piece of crap country depends on illegal transportation of drugs and wets to survive, w/o that the country will colapse.
As far as the guns coming from the US, all you have to do is attend a gun show in texas, it is very obvious that they are full of straw buyers, they work in pairs and they do not try to hide what they are doing, there are no laws to prevent such actions, I personally observed 2 mexicans purchase 10,plain jane ar15's at the Pasadena tx gunshow, the vendor had them marked up to 1695.00 and they paid cash money. There are not enough officers to work hwy 59 going to laredo or I 10 to San Antonio, there used to be but all the federal money dried up and the task forces that were stationed throughout south texas were depleted. We had to start feeding all the illegal kids in our public schools so there went that money. Personally I don't think the problem will ever be solved , we have a dangerous situation along our sothern borders, while everyone is concentrating on drugs money and guns, how many terrorist are slipping through the cracks, who knows, but they are coming and they are coming in droves because they know that the majotity of law enforcement is fast asleep after 2 am in Texas so they just truck right on down hwy 59 to Houston and blend in with the rest of their friends.
No BS here facts are facts, the military is needed on our border and right now because there will never be any funding for our law enforcement to combat the war that we have going on right here in the US.

I completely agree with Kent from TX! As an American Citizen(son of a first generation immigrant) I am a LE student and I believe in the American dream but all this political bs about spending OUR federal money to help illeagels needs to stop. Here is an idea, how about we keep the real Americans safe, you know...the ones that spend their hard earned money in OUR economy not send it to where ever they are from. Our society in general is too soft, now days we care too much about hurting feelings and not stating FACTS.

I hope at least 100 to 200 DEA agents will be assigned to directly work with Mexico to share detailed, specific in-depth intelligence on drugs traffickers. It will directly actively immediately help both sides of the border and impact US communities/states further north.
It is also reflects the step at a time-appoach regarding the #1 priority ensuring officer safety.
How would drug cartels react to sending US DEA on raids? There would be booby traps, explosives, and bombs to welcome these joint officers and more innocent civilians; The beheadings etc --so far--would simply have been "hors deuvres" as far as real potential. Meanwhile, too, joint DEA would not have had the info they need to get to root, as well as recognize "people and danger issues". Also, it is a given Calderon would be assassinated in response. Do you see any replacement stepping up like Calderon did? His leadership is one of the reasons why the violence escalated in the first place-

I also agree completely that it is beyond overdue that America FOCUSES gets control of the black market on guns. He is staunchly stating fact. Our guns are killing his people. Let alone for how many decades have our guns been in the wrong hands here? I do not know what BO and Cald shared. But, what has been shared with us to me shows wisdom and insight re: prevention and permanently getting control of extremely serious issues on both sides. Calderon thank you for your leadership and willingness to want us both to permanently solve and benefit.

BO $ to Mexico
BO inherited another colosal problem--in which difft decisions would be made if global economy was where it was 6 years ago. Now is not the time to limit the $ going to families in Mexico. Stronger legitimate Mexican structure and economy will invite the Mexican fathers back home. A stronger legitimate economy will minmize the "buying off, too". All of this will help us in the long run. But, the free US services to illegals and all these young illegal or green card immigrant families, must start having price tags/fees- for living here--not free. How long has our own structure needed an overhaul? The structure is killing our own youth who need those resources-- attention, assistance, in-depth support. Taking back our counties and states in a fair and reasonable manner should be something like putting down deadlines like BO did to auto industry. Enough of these all -show governors--meet deadlines or out!
