A driver and her two passengers were arrested on drug charges after a collision with a police patrol car, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Santa Fe police said Jodie Ray Osborn, 27, turned in front of a patrol car in the 12600 block of F.M. 1764 at about 9:40 p.m. Saturday.
Texas Department of Public Safety officers investigated the crash at the request of Santa Fe police, which is common when a police vehicle is involved.
Osborn was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Two passengers inside the car were arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.
Officer Edward Pean suffered minor injuries, including facial lacerations. He was treated at Mainland Medical Center and released.
Osborn and her passengers were not injured. They were booked into the Galveston County Jail.
The police vehicle was likely totaled in the collision.
