SAGINAW COUNTY, Mich. --

The Saginaw County sheriff’s office is investigating a home invasion that occurred Saturday, Feb. 6, between 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. at a residence in Swan Creek Township.

Sheriff’s detective Randy Pfau said an unknown number of suspects entered the home and took three flat screen televisions, three long guns and a pistol.

Pfau also said the burglars also took two Saginaw County Sheriff’s Officer uniforms from a retired Saginaw County Court Officer and a Saginaw City Retired Police badge.

Deputies said prescription pills were also stolen.

The burglary is the fourth in Swan Creek Township within the last three weeks.

Pfau said the suspects are typically forcing entry into single-family homes and taking electronics and firearms.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Saginaw County Sheriff’s office at 989-790-5450 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL.

Am I wrong but isn't a home invasion a take over of an occupied residence. Leave the sensationalized headline reporting to the Enquirer.
