what a shame
I feel sorry for Felony. Sounds like he was an awesome companion. To bad those in charge of him won't be charged for breaking the law by not having on his collar. Way to many times cops have shoved it in peoples faces to have collars on their dogs. Also it does not hurt for all companions to be chipped in case of a collar being lost or broke.
Felony I hope your time at the Rainbow Bridge is a good one and may you have fun for all time.

What a crock, any animal shelter or vet could scan his micro chip placed between his shoulders. That dog is worth a hell of a lot of money and just about all departments used these in there k9s

What a load of crap. These shelters are always quick to put a dog down. Perhaps he was aggressive towards others because he was a POLICE DOG. Sometimes these shelters need to take a step back and look outside the bubble.

is this really what it comes down to? having to choose sides? the animal should have been chipped. the police should have contacted all area animal shelters to be on the look out for this dog. the shelter has a responsibility to keep its employees and other animals safe and apparently Felony was being aggressive, which is to be expected given his background and the fact that this poor dog was probably scared. but nonetheless, the LO agency should have been proactive and made the shelters aware that Felony was missing. The dog was in their care for a week. if it were my dog, i would have been contacting the shelters daily regarding him.

Doggie
So long Felony, thanks for all your service, you were of more value and worth to us all than the criminal maggots you helped apprehend. RIP

Felony
I am a retired cop after 30 years and I think this is just horrible. That poor little soul served the police all his life and probably lived in a cage in a kennel. How very sad. No one could take him home and give him the retirement he deserved. I am shamed by this police department. May Felony's sweet soul rest peace at the Rainbow Bridge. God bless you little Felony.

The dog was caught by the city dog catcher. He told the cops he did not have him and took him to the humane society.
Felony was a black lab trained in tracking and narcotics.

Once again it's allways the police officers fault. Go back to where ever you came from.
