News reported one of the dead was a DoD police officer. Can anyone confirm this?

CNN is reporting 10 soldiers and 1 DoD LEO killed, 2 of the wounded in grave condition, and one sh!tbird killed by responding MPs with two others in custody

I would like to know why the media is reporting this as a mass murder instead of a terrorist attack. This shooter was a terrorist in our military (who should not have been there). We should all notice that the shooter who has been named was killed by local LE. This is the reason we should all train for a terrorist situation.

It sounds like the LEO, if not military police then a DOD officer I would have to assume, was not killed. He was wounded along with the shooter. The last report I saw said there was one shooter armed with two handguns, and was shot repeatedly, but is alive. Twelve service members killed by this guy, who was apparently targeting specific victims.

My fault in referring to the wounded LEO as a "he". The officer is female and she is the one who dropped the bad guy.
