Firefighter recalls accident of Officer
Articles like this make me sick to my stomach. An Officer was hit by a drunk driver and is now living a life with very little quality. How can this Griffins attorney say, "We know Mr. Griffin did some things wrong that night. He didn't do everything wrong," Brogdon said. YES HE DID DO EVERYTHING WRONG!!! He was driving Drunk, AGAINST THE LAW. He was speeding, AGAINST THE LAW. He was not in control of his vehicle, AGAINST THE LAW. He was driving on a suspended license, AGAINST THE LAW. Don't try blaming a faulty tire. The DRIVER was totally in the wrong. If he knew the tire was faulty, HE SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN DRIVING THE CAR ON THAT TIRE. HIS IGNORANCE ONE AGAIN...HE DESTROYED A OFFICER/MAN'S LIFE BECAUSE...HE WAS TOTALLY IN THE WRONG THE WHOLE WAY AROUND. He should spend every minute of 7 yrs. in jail, plus more. He should also pay legal damages to the Officer. It is totally disgusting when someone like this drunk, acts like he didn't do anything wrong. I hope the jury and the judge throw him in jail for as long as possible.
I pray Officer Baribault gets justice served. May God help Officer Baribault to have the best and fullest life possible.
A huge "Thank You and great job well done," goes out to Fire Fighter Scarfi. It is men like you retired Fire FIghter Scarfi, that inspires the younger generation to become all they can be. You are a true hero.
God Bless goes out to everyone involved...

Officer Kenneth Baribault, you are in my prayers and ultimately best wishes. Do not ever forget how many people across this country will at different times think of you and your story. B. in Sheridan, New York said it all. FF Scarfi --may your retirement be over full with all the reward and good health you deserve. What an inspiration and hero you are.

Attorney's
His attorney states His client was indeed speeding and drinking, but he said his behavior was not reckless, WTF? What do you call this. Someone needs to kick that attorney between the gold posts of life. What a moron. Drinking, driving, speeding, on a suspended license (probably for drinking), and slamming into a patrol car is not reckless aaahhhhh am I missing something. Convict Griffin, lock him up, and throwaway the key for many, many years!!!

Offficer Baribault
In the State of WA, from which I retired after 27 as LEO the term "Reckless" is defined as Willful and Wanton disregard for life and property. Took a drinki with him sure sounds willful and wanton t me. That one factor in itself is enough for me.

I wish Officer Baribault a full recovery and my best wishes to his family and fellow officers.

Be Safe.
