OMAHA, Neb. --

A police K-9 helped take down a man who broke into a grocery store in north Omaha.

Officers went to Phil's Foodway near 30th Street and Ames Avenue Monday morning at 1:15 a.m. when they learned of a burglary in progress.

They found the man inside the store with some stolen goods. Officers let the dog loose in the store and then took the man into custody.

Sean Belton, 32, was taken to jail on charges of obstructing law enforcement, possession of burglary tools and burglary.
