Shooting the Dogs
THey "pursued" the other lab and shot it? Is that SWAT team that trigger happy that they have to shoot some poor innocent labs? They knew there were dogs in the house. Perhaps they should have included a bite stick or two in their entry plan, if they actually had one at all. I'm all for officer safety, but geez...

this is the second time
Same group of cops did this a few weeks back too. Kicked in a door, shot a puppy, then realized they had the wrong house. Ooopps! A bunch of gun-toting cowboys abusing their authority. Head's should roll, humble pie shoud be eaten. This agency should immediately apologize and begin rebuilding the public trust they have broken. If they do this to a mayor, imagine what they do to an ordinary citizen. Do you research next time, understand the target you are hitting...this is basic stuff these guys missed...they are acting like a bunch of rookies.

Again
Again, this is one side of the story. Of course the dogs did not attack the officers. It could not have happened that way! Impossible! Lets talk about the 32 POUND BOX OF DOPE at the residence. Let more of this story come out before saying your piece, especially when the only side of the story is the mayor's who had 32lbs of weed magically sitting on his door step because he doesnt deal dope.

Wait until the story comes out before bashing the police just like the media does everyday. If the dogs attacked the SWAT team shoot them down. Dynamic entry is just that DYNAMIC do what they tell you. get down or get hurt. Why does the mayor have 32 pounds of dope. Why are people more concerned about a dog then a public official having dope. Folks lets get our priorities straight. Also police 31, what are you really trying to say? I would hate to speculate!

I have seen common citizens roll on their own mother just to keep themselves out of jail for a misdemeanor possession of marijuana. What would someone do if caught if 32 pounds? I would say exactly what he did minimize my felony by blaming it on the cops. Maybe it did happen, but lets wait and see what comes out of this.

English 101
I have a funny feeling that the article isn't accurate. There has to be many more details, facts, and circumstances than are mentioned here.

I also think there had to be more to the part about the dogs. It just doesnt sound right!

How many times does the media screw up the actual accounts of a what happens in a high stress scenario?

Dont get me wrong, the whole story still stinks! I'm just saying that it sounds off!

PS Police31 please go to your local college and enroll in English 101. Your passage is embarrassing! Particulary if you are in law enforcement and are responsible for writing police reports! Your poor Sergeant!

Just a bit of information
To all who are making negative comments, to include some involving some type of retarded racial reasoning, sit and learn. Firstly, a "reverse" operation took place. This happened when a couple of U/Cs (undercover officers) offered/sold the dope to the "Mayor" after he willingly agreed (this conversation is recorded and/or video taped, trust me). Secondly, the "Mayor" agreed to have it delivered to his house.

Now, based on the above information, probable cause was attained. A dope detective created an affidavit, became an affiant, and after swearing the information was true (no reason to believe otherwise), obtained a search warrant.

Next thing you know, an ops plan (operations plan) was devised and whoop there it is, the brothers made a dynamic entry in order to safely control the premises and the curtilage there of. Sadly, the dogs became aggresive towards the officers, and a couple of rounds later, the threat was stopped.

So, there is probable cause to believe your "Mayor" deals dope. That is all we need as police officers, "P/C."
The rest is for the courts, judges, state attorneys, and defense attorneys to figure out.

A job well done and everyone who counted went home safely.

Thanks Mike D
Mike D....just wanted to say thanks. Good to know there are still some common sense cops out there.

To all the others....I would suggest you take Mike D's advice and wait for the facts of the case to be presented, not make statements that are based upon information obtained from the media and the suspect in the case, who just happens to be a mayor.

And to Police31....I hope you are not a cop. If you are, I would be ashamed to have you working next to me. You should be ashamed to make the comments you made.
