Kids Got Issues
Obviously the kid's got issues and he just wants to feel what his Dad feels when he's out doing the Job. He doesn't deserve ridicule or jail. He needs mentoring and a way to mature without tarnishing his Dad's established reputation and Honor by dragging this event out in the paper.

I feel for the Dad
Much sympathy and respect to Coker Sr. I know the first thing he felt was fear that his son was out there looking like an officer, but unable to protect himself. People don't realize that we are all targets, and must be ready to defend ourselves every second we are on the street.

maybe..
Maybe if this kid wants to be like his dad so much,he should learn some real discipline and actually join the military or the police department.Maybe the police academy or the military could teach him some positive discipline. Maybe the court will give him a "slap on the wrist" and let him off. This kid is obviously misdirected. The dad sounds like a good dad,and maybe he should counsel the son about theft and the illegality of impersonating an officer.i have respect for the police officer who wasn't fooled by te kid's phony story.

Join the Police Dept? I dont think we need someone like that in our ranks. Ever notice that Police geeks that get hired end up screwing up constantly? Maybe he'll get that positive discipline he needs...in Court.
