Lexington police officers were mourning the loss of a Krispy Kreme doughnut truck after it caught fire Monday afternoon.

Lexington police officers were mourning the loss of a Krispy Kreme doughnut truck after it caught fire Monday afternoon.

The truck luckily was not carrying any delicious treats when it went up in flames, but police were able to make light of the situation on social media after everything was resolved, according to WKYT-TV.

The driver was traveling on the interstate after making a delivery in Morehead when he noticed some smoke in the cab of the truck and pulled off of the road near Man o' War Boulevard and Pink Pigeon Parkway

No one was injured and the truck is expected to be a total loss.
