ST. CHARLES, Mo., June 11, 2019 -- For the third year, Missouri-based tactical gear company Propper International teamed up with the USO of Missouri to honor Memorial Day and to further the USO's mission to "strengthen America's military service members by keeping them connected to family, home, and country throughout their service to the nation."
This year's donation of $6,404.55 included proceeds from Propper.com sales during the week leading up to and including Memorial Day.
"Propper has proudly supported our fighting men and women for over 50 years, starting with our first military contract back in 1967," said John Negrau, VP, Marketing & eCommerce for Propper. "As a Missouri-based company, we are honored to continue to support our local USO of Missouri and the dedicated service members who use their great facilities."
Each state's USO branches operate independently and rely solely upon local support. The USO of Missouri is a non-profit 501(c)(3), is not part of the Department of Defense, and receives no government or military funding. All financial support comes from individual and corporate donors.
"Propper's support and generosity over the last three years has helped us keep our facility open for service members," said Christine Trotter, Development Director for USO of Missouri. "Without support such as theirs, we couldn't continue to serve the over 270,000 military and their families who pass through our doors each year."
The main USO of Missouri branch at St. Louis International Airport is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is open to all active duty military personnel and their dependents.
