Shots Fired Into N.C. Police Officer's Home

Multiple shots were fired into a Gaston County Police officer's home outside Cherryville just after the officer got off duty Monday morning.

CHERRYVILLE, N.C. -- Multiple shots were fired into a Gaston County Police officer’s home outside Cherryville just after the officer got off duty Monday morning.

The officer’s family also was in the home when the shots were fired shortly before 6 a.m., but no one was injured, police said. The home is in the area of Tot Dellinger Road, police said.

Police said late Monday they were releasing no other details about the case.
