Shot Kentucky Deputy Saved by Ballistic Vest

A McCreary County Sheriff's deputy was saved by his ballistic vest after he was shot Saturday.

A McCreary County, Kentucky Sheriff's deputy was saved by his ballistic vest after he was shot Saturday.

Officials said that the deputy, who was involved in the incident around 4 p.m. on KY 92 West near Jones Hollow Road, is going to be OK after being saved by his vest and were unsure if he was transported to a local hospital, according to WKYT-TV.

Kentucky State Police were searching for the suspect following the shooting.

Police said the suspect is still at-large and were not able to provide a good description.
